Bringing New Online Recruitment Benefits to Job-seekers
Job site users yearn for more options to help them organise their responses to job ads, and they also want to be kept informed about the progress of the selection process that they have entered. This was the findings of a survey about preferences conducted with visitors to Jobs.cz, the leading job site in the Czech Republic, focussed on qualified professions. Jobs.cz responded with new services that have been added to the job search system.
A registered user can now save all his replies to posted job ads in the folder Reply History. He now certainly knows the replies he has sent to which recipient, and what replies he has in turn received. This is very practical when replying to several vacancies. "Losing track of the offers to which I have replied to in a selection process may disqualify me. It does not make a good impression on the personnel officer if I receive a call, and all of a sudden I do not know the precise vacancy he is talking about," says Ondřej Mysliveček of LMC, the operator of Jobs.cz.
Another 'unique' item is the Cart where the user can place selected vacancies. If you configure the search agent, you get all the vacancy offers that the agent has found for you on Jobs.cz in your Delivered folder. And if they post their CVs to the database, which is accessible to thousands of registered employers, they also receive mail from personnel officers who found their CVs interesting.
And how do the users get information about the progress of the selection process? The software application LMC G2 on Jobs.cz links the candidates with the employers. "If a personnel officer when working with received CVs in our LMC G2 system uses the function 'reject candidate', the system also notifies the other party," explains Mysliveček. According to him, most of the personnel officers make an effort to inform candidates in writing about their exclusion from the selection process. Notification is also sent automatically via the LMC G2 system. "Even if the personnel officer does not do so, the candidate is automatically informed by our system," he adds. According to LMC statistics, for instance in September, personnel officers used the 'reject' function 44,377 times. Notification that the selection process is closed also functions on the same principle.
"Searching for employment has never been more comfortable," the LMC service development team suggests, which is already working on further innovations. "We are creating an ever better platform for smooth and seamless exchange of information between the potential employees and employers," says Ondřej Mysliveček.
