Looking for engineers in Germany?
The German labor market is currently simplifying its rules for hiring educated personnel from new EU countries. Up to now, German employers could employ foreign candidates only after checking if there were any available German candidates for the vacancy. As of the 1st of November 2007, a new statutory order is in force which allows recruiting from outside of Germany:
- vacancies for mechanical engineers, automotive engineers and electrical engineers (Maschineningenieure, Fahrzeugbauingenieure, Elektroingenieure) can be filled with candidates from Central and Eastern countries of EU without looking for an appropriate German candidate.
- all graduates, regardless of their citizenship, after completion of their studies at a German college or university, may be employed in their area of study for up to 3 years (More under: Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales).
To recruit within Central and Eastern Europe, the easiest way is to advertise with local job boards where most educated candidates search for their jobs. As a convenient instrument ONREA, Online Recruitment Accelerator, stands at the disposal of employers looking for new sources of candidates. ONREA provides job vacancy posting throughout Central and Eastern Europe - for more information please see "About ONREA".
